The Band Preview

Hello all you bloggers out there! Sorry for the absence lately, but band has really been eating up all of my time lately. Speaking of which, you may have noticed that my sentences in this post are two-toned. This is because I am all jazzed up with school spirit because last night the marching band had the The Preview, and I was completely and totally excited. The Preview is an event where all four bands in our county showcase their marching band shows to the other three schools along with their parents and any other band fans. I enjoyed watching the other bands and their shows; personally Linconlton's was my favorite of the other three. They preformed a Cirque Di Soleil show complete with ring leader costumes and faux tight rope walking. I laughed and clapped through the entire thing. It was just so darned entertaining that I couldn't help myself. (You all know what that's like right?) Anyhoo, last night we were the last to go on,and may I say, we were STUPENDOUS! It was the best run of the show War and Peace that we have had to date!

While this was amazingly wonderful, alot of the band parents just don't seem to understand the premise to our ending. One of those people would be my father, of course. For the past five years that our school and marching band has been in exsistence, we have always ended with a loud, energetic note that basically blows the pants off of the judges and the audience. (I exaggerate of course....Or do I? Hm...) But this year we are forgoing the wet-your-pants-and-drop-your-mouth last note, instead gunning for a much more complex and powerful ending. I am afraid that it is monumentally different than it usually is for us, but I believe that's good so we don't always stick to the same ol' same ol' year after year. We have an insane amount of visuals this year, which I am EXTREMELY excited about. I just hope that I don't slip up and accidently poke someone in the eye and cause them to topple over and over and over one another so we all fall down and ruin the show. Wow, I hope I didn't just jinx myself with that one.

Well, I would write more (that is if I could think of any). But this whole two-toned sentence crap really take much more time than you think it would!

PEACE

What it should say is....

"But this year we are forgoing the wet-your-pants-and-drop-your-mouth last note for an entire wet-your-pants-and-drop-your-mouth show."

I could only read half of this because the blue is an awful color with the red.
