I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!

Scary, huh? Anyhoo, Im glad to be back, but I miss up there in New York. I didn't wanna come home. They had THE BEST pizza in the world. It was amazing. I dont care if youre a flat bread or a thick bread person, this pizza was off the hook. I could have eaten ten gallons of it, but then I would be much much fatter than I am and the world doesnt need to see that. I had a grrrrrrrrrreat time. We went to go see two broadyway plays. People were controversial about The Phantom of The Opera, but I loved it. The cast was perfectly set, especially the woman who played Carlatta and the Phantom himself. Hairspray was way cool too. Scads better than the movie, although I'm thinking of buying it, because I'm never gonna be able to live again without at least seeing the slightly less amazing movie version. We also went to go see The New York Philharmonic. That would have been a lot more enjoyable if the entire band hadnt slept through it. But, c'mon, give us a break we were knackered. We deserved that little nap. Manhattan was amazing, even though it did smell a little. One of the only things I missed was fresh air. And sweet tea. Oh...I almost died without my sweet tea. I think I'm addicted to it. Still, it's better than being addicted to some other things, subjects which i will not delve into at this moment in time. We went to a really fancy resturant, and I momentarily forgot that we were in the north, so I ordered some. They gave me a snapple and I was like, what? no! i dont want this nasty crap from a jar! gimme the real stuff! As soon as we hit virginia on the way back, I ordered a huge glass and guzzled it. It tasted soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Anyway, if I figure out how, I'll post pics real soon. Of course, they wont be as amazing as the pictures of little miss Kaitlin, but I have no talent for picture taking. It just isnt my thing. Weird, It's a lot harder than it looks.

See Ya

I must bid you all farewell, at least for a little while. Tonight, I am going with a bunch of friends to see Definately, Maybe. But then, I am off for New York, and this will probably be my last post for a few days. How sad. :'(

But, I'm too excited to be sad. I can't wait to see those broadway plays, or get to hear the New York Philharmonic. (Please dont patronize my spelling errors. I'm too hyped up to care about them.)

Anyway, I'm off. I hope ya'lls vacation is going as good as mine is!

PARTAY

So, I just got back from Tyler's party. It was pretty fun I must say. Better, at least, than having to sit around the house and watch my mom clean things while I pack for New York. *squeaks excitedly at the thought of NYC* After completely sucking at airhockey, and trying to put this weird little cubey thing together, I watched some people play super smash brothers, then ALSO completely sucked at guitar hero. It was even on easy, probably the easiest of all songs. I seriously have no knack for video gamse. I guess that goes along with my complete loss of hand-eye coordination. Come to think of it, I don't think I had any to begin with. Anyway, then me and like six other people proceeded to play Apples to Apples 3 times. It's pretty funny the first two times, but then after that you realize that it's getting very old and how pathetic it is to play three times. So, I left in the middle of the third game. God only knows how that one turned out. I watched some people play pool and airhockey, oh and I played ping pong twice! I definatly lost when I played Will, and I'm not sure about the second time because we were tag teamed. Rachel was my partner and I think we both tanked, but that's okay because we werent really keeping score. They had THE BEST chocolate pie (not as good as my mom's though). I also got to hold a BUNNY RABBIT! It's name was Mel and it was so cute. It kind of just layed limply in my lap and let me pet it. I had mucho amounts fun.

Assistant Rev.

Earlier tonight my family and I had dinner with this lady named Danae. She is one of the applicants who is trying to get a job as an assistant reverand at our church. It was so cool talking to her. She's like 30 or 31, so it was just like talking to one of my friends. It was so weird though because we have so much in common. I didnt expect to be able to talk about much, and I thought it would be really awkward, but it wasnt. I freaked when I found out that she played the clarinet when she was in high school like I do, and that she likes to write, and that she likes poetry. It was like we were carbon copies or something. Meeting her wasnt at all like meeting a really HOLY person, who's main hobby is talking about God, which is kind of annoying. I mean, props to them and everything because theyre totally devoted, but a person needs more out of a conversation. I found out that her favorite show is Buffy The Vampire Slayer which I thought had to be the coolest thing ever. I didnt expect it, even though I should know that all Priest's are people too, because of my Dad. He definately has other interests. I guess it's hard to imagine your Priest at home watching television, and feeding their dog unless you've seen them do it before, and it's not weird anymore. But now that I've met Danae outside of the church, it might be just as strange to see her up there with my dad in a collar. But, if she becomes our assistant rev. (which I hope she will) then I'll get use to it. She told us about her dog, and her life wherever she use to live before she went to seminary (I can't really pronounce it, which I guess shows how much I pay attention to detail. i.e. not at all) and her hobbies. Dad has two more people to review, but I really hope he sticks with this one, because we all like her a whole lot, and I think she would be a good fit for the church. But, I guess we all wont really know until we meet the two other applicants.

FESTIVAAAAAAAAAAAL!

Yesterday, we went to festival at shelby high school. It was all very nervewracking, and such, but it was pretty fun. We were in the warm-up room, when the unthinkable happened. MY CLARINET BROKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some key bent (the backstabbing traitor!) and i couldnt play the upper register, and I was about to burst into tears. Luckily, there was an extra clarinet handy, and so they just switched the part that was broken. Then it was time to go on stage, and I thought that I was going to barf. I'm on the end where everyone can see me. All their round expecting faces were targeted on me (or at least it seemed like it) and I wanted to pass out. But! I had to play, so I did. It didnt sound as good as it normally does, because of the alien clarinet part. I kept pushing a button that I wasnt supposed to push because it was in a slightly different spot than it used to be. But I made it through. Then after the preformance, we all stood outside in front of the scoring board to wait for that judge to come and give us our scores. He is the kind of judge who likes to fake people out, so in roman numerals he wrote that we got three twos, one one, and a three. We all were about to maul him, because we knew that the rankings were unfair. So he came back and filled in the spaces, and it turns out that we got STRAIGHT ONES!!!!!!!!!!!! We all hooped and hollered and hugged eachother. (<>

Danah's Star (Creative Writing Free Journal)

Danah stared at the tiny star her mother had so precariously sewn onto her vest. It gleamed against the black, even though it was nothing but yellow felt. The small star had more significance now than it had ever had before, even though it was supposed to be some kind of sacred symbol. But seven year old eyes dont differentiate insignias so well. That could have been why both the star, and that funny black spider symbol both looked the same to her, though both meant something completely different. She remembered her mommy saying that the spider was bad, and refusing to hang it from their window when the man in the funny hat had come to make sure their family was "respecting authority" or whatever it was that he had called it. She hadnt had to wear her star then, and the man in the funny hat had been nicer then.
The doorbell ran, filling the house with some ominous sound, though no one could really tell Danah why. To her, it just seemed that every time the doorbell rang, mean men wearing spider symbols on their arms came and did something to her family. They changed things, and made Mommy and Daddy scared, and angry so their faces reddened like strawberries, and they shut themselves behind locked doors to sob out of Danah's veiw.
She ran to living room as Mommy opened the door. She opened it slowly though, trying to avoid the inevitable as long as possible. Behind the frame, the sun fell down upon a clean cut soldier, bathing him in glorious light, masquerading him as an angel from heaven, instead of a demon.
His German voice chomped away at the peaceful silence, and Danah's star seemed to pound on her shirt, as if the inanament object were trying to warn her of something.
"Pack your bags" he said.
"You have one hour" he said.
"You are going away" he said.
She held onto her star now, even though she didnt really understand what it meant, or how it's significance on her shirt had branded her for the rest of her life. But she needed comfort as her Mommy fell to her knees in front of the soldier. He slapped her hard with his palm, the sound echoing through Danah's ears like a siren, and plummeting down into her heart, making it beat faster, and faster.
The soldier, with no regards to the woman crumpled at his feet in pain, asked how old the little girl was.
Seven years old.
Seven years old meant her own special shower.

(Alright Mrs. Dunigan! I cant get second period out of my mind! This is the result!)

Unusual Character (Creative Writing)

An old woman lived in that house by the hill. It was the kind of house that all the neighbor kids dared their peers to sneak into on nights like Halloween, and others that were deemed creepy due immense amounts of fog that seemed to settle so idly over the field surrounding it. I remember that I always used to glide underneath those kid's radar, moving undetected as I passed the nightmare that was the old woman's house. Even though I was never forced into doing the very thing that would make me pee my pants, passing her house made me cringe. Sometimes, when I was masquerading as a daring individual, I would skulk in the dying weeds outside her side window, and peer in to see if, in fact, she slit the throats of all those cats that had gone missing in the neighborhood. Whenever I put my life on the line to check such mysterious goings on, everything inside the old woman's house seemed, strange at best, but simply the effects of a senile ailment.
The side window, though covered with a thick film of who knew what, led clearly into the living room, which had more dust cascading through the air than the old woman had gray hair. That grew in plentiful bushes on her head, and the hair seemed more like a monster with writhing, white tentacles, trying to escape the confines of her head. The kids insisted that she wore witch garb, such as long, flowing, black robes with tears and cobwebs living happily on the side. They also spun tales of decaying broom sticks, and black magic cats. Although, whenever I took my spot among the weeds, all I could see was a lifestyle gone wrong.
The old woman sported a tennis outfit, more wrinkled and stained than her face. She carried a fraying rope in her hand, and stroked it from time to time, as if it were her pet. The black, stilleto heels on her cracked feet gave off the impression that she was either mentally deranged, or had very high hopes. I guessed the first one. A feather boa encircled her neck like a snake, and sometimes I let my mind wander away, and imagined it tightening around her frail throat. Often times this alarmed me, but then I would see her rip it off, because it was nothing more than clothing. Her eyes were far away, either in the far reaches of her mind, or in a life lost to years of aging. Pictures hung crookedly on the poorly maintained walls, and the smoke alarm startled her out of her daily trances almost contstantly. At first, I atoned this to the smoke that emmanated from the top of her cauldren, where she was sure to stew up little squirrels, and eye of newt, or whatever it was that spat from those kid's imaginations. Then, I came to the realization that the battery needed changing.
She probably needed medical attention, for what I could see what not normal behavior, but I was watched her chat to ghosts, and window curtains, and heard her laughter resonate through the mansion, I began to question what normalcy was. This woman was happy, living inside her own delusions, if they were, in fact, that. Perhaps she was a kind of magic. She could live alone, with her dusty rooms, and her dirty tennis skirts, and still hum happily along with the radio as she boiled tea, completely blind to the stupid kids who whispered outside of her windows.

FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SO EXCIIIIIIIIITED!!!!!!!!!! This Thursday, the wind ensemble is going to festival where we will play our lovely music in front of lovely judges who will give us lovely scores! Well....they will be lovely if they are ones. They will be peachy if they are twos. They will be eeeeeeeeeeeeeviiiiiiiiil if they are threes or higher. But anyway, the reason for my excitement is, since festival is coming up, then so is spring break. And everyone knows what that means! I GET TO GO TO NEW YORK FOR THE FIRST AND PROBABLY LAST TIME IN MY LIFE AND IT WILL BE AH-MA-Z-ING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well maybe not amazing. But it'll be fun. We are going to go see two broadway plays, The Phantom of The Opera, and, Hairspray. Both of which I am eager to see. I just want to be inside the building. I've never been to an actual broadway play, and this is probably the most exciting thing to happen to me since we went to Towson, Maryland (or however you spell it.) This also means that it's almost EASTER! Hooray for baskets filled with candy and lame colored easter eggs! No, seriously, I know that Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus, I just wonder how all this other stuff came about. I mean seriously, who thought, "oh well today marks the celebration of Jesus' resurrection, so it makes perfect sense to dye eggs and watch little kids hunt for them." And just where exactly did the Easter Bunny come from? WHERE DO ALL THESE TRADITIONS COME FROM, I ASK YOU? Oh well, candy is candy, and candy is dandy. I know all the commersialism takes away from the holiday, but seriously, who doesnt like candy? Well I'm sure there are a select few.

More Germs

Everybody shout for joy! Not really. My fever went back up. Worse, I still have to work on my homework in case I'm well by tommorow. But that's okay. I'm almost done with my English paper, and hopefully my pinata covering will go a little faster now that I've had some motrin. I really wanted to go to EYC (that would be my youth group for all you non-episcopalians out there) because tonight we were stuffing easter eggs for our church's annual easter egg hunt. Oh well. Lucky for me my dad brought me home a bag of candy!!!! I'm glad that whatever I have doesnt effect my taste buds. I had one of those sicknesses one time, and I tried to eat chocolate. It tasted like dirt, and macaroni and cheese tasted like grass. I had a whole garden goin on in my mouth. *cringes at the memory* Anyway, my homework calls.

Sicky Germ Update

Last time I took my temperature, it was around 98.8, which was good because it meant that I didnt really have anything. I just took it a few minutes ago and it has upgraded to 99.1. Sure that's not really anything to fret about, except I took some motrin about 2 hours ago, so whatever I have is worse. Darned those stupid sicky germs. I keep wondering what's going on at Rachel's party. All I've done today is watch Ever After and How Do I Look? and eat potato soup. (Great stuff by the way. I could live off potato soup.) It's a nice reading day though, being that theres a thunderstorm and all. Except I'm too bugged out to focus on a book. I've got one of those weird fever headaches where everything is all bright and clear. It makes me feel weird, but that means that this isnt just a cold. CURSE GERMS! They are evil little creatures I'm tellin ya. I hope I'm not still sick on Monday. I really dont feel like taking my exams. I already had to take 3 last semester, and if I miss two more days of school, then I have to take exams. And, no offense to my english teacher, but I really dont want to take the English Exam. I did that once already. But I dont want to take the spanish, or creative writing one either. Eish, or the band exam. It's music theory *gags*. Hopefully this little mini illness will blow over.

On an unrelated note, has anyone noticed how warm its been lately? I thought the groundhog saw his shadow. Doesnt that mean six more weeks of winter weather? Oh well. It's just a legend thingy anyway. I'd rather have it warm. The cold is staring to get annoying. Just wait, in about three weeks, Ill want it to be winter again. Well, maybe not winter. Fall probably. I like fall because its not too hot and its not too cold. I sound like Goldie Locks. What a dumb name. Who names their child Goldie Locks? Everyone can already see that she has blonde hair. Why draw anymore attention to it? If a girl had that kind of name in today's world, she wouldnt see the end of ridicule. Mean, I know, but that's the way it is.

I think I'm rambling. Sorry. :)

PEACE

*cough cough* Darn *cough*

All I have to say is...darn *cough*. ITS NOT FAIR! Last night I had this terrible ache in my throat *cough cough* like I was trying to swallow porcupine needles. I took a throat soother, and thought that everything *cough* would be okay. I was wrong. *sneeze* This morning I woke up with a soar throat, a stuffy nose *sniff* and a pounding headache. I have no idea if I have a temperature, because I CANT FIND THE STINKIN THERMOMETER! *cough sniff* Anyway, this means that I cant go to Rachel's party! *sneeze* Being sick sucks big time. Its times like these I wish I was a dog. Sure, they never get invited to parties, but they also dont get sick very often, unless they have some kind of condition. But hopefully I would be the kind of dog that is healthy. *cough cough* *sniff* *sneeze* Ugh. I feel like death has desceded upon me in the form of a raging cold. Stupid cold.

Party and Prom

I am soooooooo excited for Saturday!!!! My friend Rachel is having this huge party for her birthday, and I'm phsyced. Except I don't exactly know what to get her, but I figure that ideas will strike me when I'm shopping. She says just to get her money, but I was thinking about a shirt she might like or something...

Anyway, I am also excited about Saturday because it is the day me and Kaitlin go PROM DRESS SHOPPING!!!!!!! *insert hysterical laughter and eerie lightning here* I can't wait! Of course I dont get to pick out a dress because I'M not special enough. Not that I'm bitter or anything. No, really I'm not. I'm actually really excited to go pick out a prom dress, even if it isnt for me. OO that also gives me ideas for her hair and makeup....she better be prepared! *more hysterical laughter and eerie lightning*

HALLELUJIAH!!!! (Oops! It's Lent! I Can't Say That Anymore! Scratch That!)

I GOT MY BRACES OFF TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need I say more?
Okay I may not need to say more, but I will anyway. I went to the orthodontist this morning to get the chunks of metal off my teeth. I had to wait for an hour in the waiting room, and I was ON TIME for my appointment. Lousy teeth fixers. Anyway, since we had to stay in Gastonia to pick up the retainers later that day, my dad took me to the Applewood Golf Course, and he let me drive the golf cart. It was a lot more exciting then it sounds. Then we went to Tony's for lunch. Oh My Gosh! It was delicious. They have the best ice cream in the world, because they make it in their own factory which is right next to the diner. I swear that place is so good, I tried to talk my dad into calling Guy Fietti (sp?) so he could do it on a segment of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. We would just magically show up there the day they shoot it, and I would wave to all my friends and point to my cone of world famous ice cream. Ah, what a dream!

The Hills Arent Alive Anymore :,(

Yupp. The hills died this evening around 6:00. Poor hills. We finished the last showing of The Sound Of Music, and while the theatre is a very lovely experience, I am SOOOOOOOOO glad it is over. Horray for no more icky nun costumes that reek of feet! Horray for no more layers and layers of makeup! Hooray for no more singing out of tune! (Myself included.) I hope some of you guys came to see me and Kaitlin shake our booties on stage. (Not really. We're nuns, We arent allowed to shake anything.) If you didnt, sucks for you...but that's okay, the movie was better anyway. Anyway, I am running on less sleep then fish. (Do fish sleep at all?) So I am off! *Frolicks away to sleep.*

Hotel Rwanda

In English class today, we watched the movie, Hotel Rwanda. It is about the genocide of the Tootsie's in Rwanda committed by the hands of the Hutu's. More accurately it is about a man name Paul Russesabagina (sp?), and how he housed nearly 1300 Tootsie's in his hotel, even though he was a Hutu, during the times when they were being massacred. Although the stories may make us cringe, it is a good thing to learn about genocide. It shows us the sheer magnitude of the horrors that go on when one race tries to wipe out another. Who knows why anyone would want to do such a thing, and I'm pretty sure their reasoning is not good enough, not for me at least. But, the point is, is that they do it, and genocide is real, no matter how much we dont want to face it. Like a reporter said in the movie, most of us will watch the news and say, "that's horrible," and then go on eating our dinners. The movie really makes you think about what is important in life. Sure...the effects of the Rwandan genocide did not directly effect our country, but we are all human beings. We all make up the earth, and were put here for a reason no matter our color, gender, or nationality. We should live as if we are all brothers and sisters, though none of us do, but maybe one day that will happen. Until then, I hope you all take the time to watch Hotel Rwanda, and think about what a spectacular human being Paul Russesabagina was.

The Hills Are Alive (They are? OMG! Run for your liiiiiiiiives!)

Ha ha, the hills arent really alive, I promise you, but what an interesting idea. Someone should make a horror movie about that. Anyway, on to more important things, tommorow starts the opening night of The Sound Of Music! I know ya'll are just all excited about that! Of course you should come and see the main characters, but you should also come and see me! The nameless nun with no lines!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! Not that I'm bitter or anything. (Ha ha I'm really not.) But hopefully it will be a good show. I dont have butterflies in my stomach just yet....at least I dont think so....if there are I can't feel them. If you miss opening night there's also friday, saturday, and sunday to catch up on.

Thoughtshot

Blood covered every inch of the living room, once spotless with pristine white fabrics. Now they glowed crimson agony. The gun felt sticky with sweat beneath my fingers, and I let it drop to the floor. I couldn't breathe. How could it have ended this way? I couldn't believe the sight that was layed out before my eyes, or that I had caused it. I was terror stricken as I watched the last bits of life flicker from her eyes. Why did it have to be her? I wanted to rip the intruder apart as he ran out the door, laughing like a hyena. He tripped over her body out the door and i needed to scream. My best friend lay dying on the floor because of my poor aim, and never agin would she get back up. I couldn't handle this. We had been through so much together, and never again would we talk to eachother. I cursed my bad aim, and sank to the floor in a heap of tears. I was too devastated to chase the intruder. Rust reached my nose, the salty, bitter smell of her blood. The smell was overwhelming, blanketing the room in a thick fog of a sickly sweet stench. Her body lay limp against the floor, a sight my eyes couldn't bear, but also couldn't look away from. She was really gone. She was gone, and it was all my fault. Guilt bubbled up in my intestines, taking over my entire body.

His life was ending now. He knew it. Face to face with a vicious bingle tiger, all he could think of was the mistakes he had made in his life. Funny that he could be concerned about the coffee he purposely spilled on his co-worker when he was about to be devoured. Terror shot through him, and he knew that these were the last moments of his life. He should have never become a zookeeper. Accounting was much safer.

Story Time! : Asphalt

The road feels rough beneath my bare feet, polished and not used to the harsh realities of the real world. It occurrs to me that, in my position, I could have brought with me a pair of shoes that could stand up to any weather. I think of my rubber rain boots gathering dust beneath my bed at home, and the hiking boots that are shoved in the conrner of my closet. They had never gotten much wear, but now I long for them to be in my suitcase, calling for me to put them on. I jump from foot to foot as I make my way down the road, trying to avoid the searing heat that the asphalt attracts. Soon, though, I turn onto the plush grass, letting it cool the shallow burns on my heels. In a fit of tiredness, I lay out my blanket, watching it drape across the grass almost as beautifully as it had when Linda, the cleaning lady, fixed it in the morning. She would bring me tea, and we would laugh politely at her maid's jokes even though both of us knew very well that none of them were funny. I sigh. Those days are long behind me. As soon as my blanket hits the ground, I know I am going to have to pick it up again. Tired as I may be, it is too hot to sleep. I think of home again, as hard as I tried not to. I think of last week, when this whole messy business started...

I layed out on the veranda by the pool, groping for the jar of lemonade that Linda had placed on the table. Soon, though, I gave up on it. In order to reach it properly I would have to remove my hat, which allow the bothersome sun to pool its light into my retinas. I couldn't be bothered with such nonsense. I layed for hours out on that veranda, day in and day out, wasting my summer. It had never occurred to me that such interesting things were happening right inside my house. "Amanda!" someone called my name from inside the kitchen. I groaned in annoyance as I lifted myself off the chair. Daddy's voice sounded angry though, so I best not test him today, I thought. The kitchen was bathed in red. It was on the floor, all over the floor, and on Daddy's hand. And on Daddy's gun...

I continue to walk.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!!!!!!!! YES, THE DREADED WRITING TEST IS TOMORROW!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!! SAVE THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN!!!!!!!! (dont forget about me!)

Fried Green Tomatoes

So in creative writing class we just finished watching Fried Green Tomatoes (great movie by the way, ya'll should watch it.) and so now we have to finish these questions about the movie. Sorry if this may bore you, but it's for a grade.

1.The story of Idgie, and her confidence inspired Evelyn to be able to confront her husband and his inability to make their marriage work. It also gave her confidence to face the people who take advantage of her.

2.The frame story is Evelyn and her life with her husband, and her conversations with Ninny. The main characters in the frame story is Evelyn, her husband, and Ninny.

3.The inner story is the story of Idgie and Ruth and their life in Alabama. The main characters are Idgie, and Ruth.

4.Becaue no one would expect Sipsey to kill Frank. They all expected Idgie to do it since Ruth was her best friend, and she threatened to kill him.

5.My favorite vingette in the story was when Ruth and Idgie were h aving a food fight in the kitchen.

6. Sipsey's head pounded, impeding her vision with tiny black dots that danced across her eyes. Vaguely, she could make out the picture of Frank Bennett, running out the door with Buddy's cradle gripped firmly in his hands. She tried to scream for Big George, only to remember that he was out helping Idgie with the town play. Shakily, she pulled herself up off the floor, balancing on arms as thin as toothpicks. She could feel them ready to snap in half as she flung the frying pan into her hands. Warily, she let her footsteps drift her towards the door. She halted at the frame as the shouts of Frank and Smokey resonated through the trees, bouncing violently off the bark, and into the night sky. A thud sounded, and Sipsey peered through the crack in the door just in time to watch Smokey's body collapse onto the ground. As Frank fidgeted hurredly with his keys, she made her move. Her footsteps landed on sweet silence, allowing her to move undetected. Wielding the frying pan as if it were an axe, she raised it high over her head, and brought it down hard on the back of Frank's skull. She knew he was dead the moment she heard his bone shatter inside his skin. But she had no time to worry about jail, or sins, or any such selfish nonsense. She simply grabbed Buddy, and ran.

Writing Test On Tuesday

Okay, so the all feared tenth grade writing test is on tuesday. I know that we're supposed to be cool calm and collected about tests, but this is different. It's THE WRITING TEST. I'm pretty sure that I want to minor in creative writing, and while THE WRITING TEST isnt focused on creative writing, it's still writing, nonetheless. I get all paranoid when it comes to people grading my writing because I always think they're going to say that it's terrible and that I'm not any good, and that I shouldnt quit my day job. (Technically, I dont have a day job, but you get the gist.) And this isnt one of those study-your-brains-out-late-into-the-night-with-ten-cups-of-coffee kind of tests, it's one of those things where you just have to kind of trust your abilities. I have some people survey my writing, but they're never really unbiased. Mostly it's my friends and family, which is why i get so wigged out when teachers or other people grade my writing. Ever since the seventh grade when i got seriously into writing (I've always liked it but I never really pursued anything) I've been terrified of handing my writing into teachers. It's like a phobia or something. Lets see, theres my arachnophobia, um...needlephobia(?), and now this. Lovely. I'm a walking panic attack waiting to happen. (Therapists get your half moon glasses, and your clipboards ready!) Well, it's not that bad, but sometimes I just wish I were 100% sure that something I write is good. I have a sense, but I'm not a professional. Not yet anyway. *crosses fingers hopefully*
