Assistant Rev.

Earlier tonight my family and I had dinner with this lady named Danae. She is one of the applicants who is trying to get a job as an assistant reverand at our church. It was so cool talking to her. She's like 30 or 31, so it was just like talking to one of my friends. It was so weird though because we have so much in common. I didnt expect to be able to talk about much, and I thought it would be really awkward, but it wasnt. I freaked when I found out that she played the clarinet when she was in high school like I do, and that she likes to write, and that she likes poetry. It was like we were carbon copies or something. Meeting her wasnt at all like meeting a really HOLY person, who's main hobby is talking about God, which is kind of annoying. I mean, props to them and everything because theyre totally devoted, but a person needs more out of a conversation. I found out that her favorite show is Buffy The Vampire Slayer which I thought had to be the coolest thing ever. I didnt expect it, even though I should know that all Priest's are people too, because of my Dad. He definately has other interests. I guess it's hard to imagine your Priest at home watching television, and feeding their dog unless you've seen them do it before, and it's not weird anymore. But now that I've met Danae outside of the church, it might be just as strange to see her up there with my dad in a collar. But, if she becomes our assistant rev. (which I hope she will) then I'll get use to it. She told us about her dog, and her life wherever she use to live before she went to seminary (I can't really pronounce it, which I guess shows how much I pay attention to detail. i.e. not at all) and her hobbies. Dad has two more people to review, but I really hope he sticks with this one, because we all like her a whole lot, and I think she would be a good fit for the church. But, I guess we all wont really know until we meet the two other applicants.

PEACE
